North Carolina Aging and Adult Services Program Improvement
We will be helping North Carolina identify and implement strategies to strengthen the services provided by the Adult and Protective Services and Adult Guardianship programs.
North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services will identify and implement strategies to strengthen the services provided by the Adult Protective Services and Adult Guardianship programs throughout the State with the support of our consultants. SLI Government Solution Services (SLI) started the project in September of 2020 and will conclude in February of 2021. The Center for the Support of Families (CSF), a Division of SLI, will use their extensive experience supporting Health and Human Services agencies across the United States and will use their expertise to:
- Help the State and county Aging and Adult Services programs develop a shared vision for the program, and define desired outcomes
- Recommend changes to North Carolina statutes to align with the vision
- Help strengthen working relationships between the State and the 100 counties to align priorities and practice around a shared vision for Aging and Adult Services. Maximize program funding and develop strategies to direct resources to achieve desired outcomes.
- The SLI team of consultants will work in partnership with designated State and county program staff and will include stakeholder input at critical junctures throughout the project.
