SLI Government Solutions helps North Carolina strengthen the services provided by the Adult Protective Services and Adult Guardianship programs.
SILVER SPRING, MD., September 28th, 2020 – North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services will identify and implement strategies to strengthen the services provided by the Adult Protective Services and Adult Guardianship programs throughout the State with SLI Government Solution Services (SLI) support. The project started in September of 2020 and will conclude in February of 2021.
The Center for the Support of Families (CSF), a Division of SLI, has extensive experience supporting Health and Human Services agencies across the United States and will use their expertise to:
- Help the State and county Aging and Adult Services programs develop a shared vision for the program, and define desired outcomes
- Recommend changes to North Carolina statutes to align with the vision
- Help strengthen working relationships between the State and the 100 counties to align priorities and practice around a shared vision for Aging and Adult Services
- Maximize program funding and develop strategies to direct resources to achieve desired outcomes.
The SLI team is working in partnership with designated State and county program staff and includes stakeholder input at critical junctures throughout the project. This approach leverages the lessons learned and best practices used in SLI’s successful effort to help improve the state’s child welfare system. More information about that effort is available in the Case Study link here.
We are excited to continue our work with North Carolina to improve the Aging and Adult Services programs. We are proud of our work with North Carolina’s child welfare programs and look forward to replicating those successes in the Aging and Adult arena.” Shared SLI Vice President, Kathy Sokolik.
