ACA Eligibility and Enrollment CBMS/PEAK Modifications IV&V
SLI is assisting the HCPF in meeting the needs of its staff and public assistance recipients through the completion of the PEAK effort.
Colorado’s Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (HCPF) awarded SLI Global Solutions a contract to conduct periodic Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) services of the implementation of the Department’s Affordable Care Act (ACA) Eligibility and Enrollment (E&E) System, the Colorado Benefit Management System (CBMS) and its Program Eligibility and Application Kit (PEAK) modifications effort. PEAK allows the agency to meet increases in enrollment rates for food, cash and medical assistance programs.
SLI is performing periodic reviews using the most recent release of the Medicaid Eligibility and Enrollment Toolkit (MEET) and reporting to the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and HCPF. The new MEET corresponds in process to the Medicaid Enterprise Certification (MECT) also published by CMS.
In addition to participating in the Medicaid Eligibility and Enrollment Lifecycle (MEECL), SLI is delivering more traditional IV&V services. SLI completed the first review cycle within 90 days of contract signing and the second is to be completed in June 2018. These reviews result in project milestone reviews for the two major builds in the current release plan. This approach allows SLI’s IV&V team to identify risks that are the most likely to impact the project and confirm that key project health indicators are met. SLI is to providing actionable mitigation recommendations to reduce risk severity and help ensure federal partners are fully informed of project progress.
